Tom’s Hardware said the device combines two 15.6-inch panels with an aluminium frame, a laptop wedge and an integrated hub that adds three USB-A ports and gigabit Ethernet, making it far more ambitious than most mobile displays. The package is also unusually complete, with cables, a 65-watt adapter and a two-tier carrying case included.
Its strongest feature is flexibility. According to Tom’s Hardware and Windows Central, the panels can be arranged in landscape or portrait orientation, used side by side or stacked, and detached into solo use if required. The magnetic mounts and sliding arms are intended to fit different laptop sizes, while the stand can be tilted for better ergonomics. Reviewers at GamesRadar+ and GAMES.GG also highlighted the device’s usefulness for productivity, especially for people who need extra screen space while travelling.
That versatility comes with compromises. Tom’s Hardware measured brightness below the company’s claimed 300 nits in its default mode and found colour performance limited, with weak sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage. Windows Central reached a similar conclusion, saying the panels are serviceable for work but not especially strong on colour accuracy or luminance. In practice, that means the Horizon Pro is better suited to spreadsheets, browsing and data entry than to image work or colour-sensitive tasks.
Weight is the other major trade-off. Tom’s Hardware said the system is heavy enough that, despite the travel case, it feels more like a desk accessory than something most people will want to carry every day. That view was echoed in other reviews, which praised the build quality and unusual feature set but noted that setup can take some getting used to. For users who value flexibility, built-in networking and dual-screen productivity, the FlipGo Horizon Pro stands out. For everyone else, a lighter single-panel portable display may make more sense.
