Garmin launches screen-free CIRQA Smart Band in Sydney wellness pop-up with Kayla Itsines

Garmin unveiled its first screen-free health tracker, the CIRQA Smart Band, through an interactive Sydney pop-up event featuring fitness influencer Kayla Itsines, offering a new discreet alternative for health enthusiasts amid rising health consciousness.

Garmin has used a Sydney wellness pop-up to push its new CIRQA Smart Band, teaming with fitness entrepreneur Kayla Itsines to turn Sage Space in Darlinghurst into the Garmin Recharge Lounge. The activation was framed as a place to step away from constant notifications and test a screen-free device that tracks health and recovery metrics without a subscription, according to Garmin’s announcement.

The CIRQA is Garmin’s first screen-free smart band and is positioned as a discreet alternative to larger fitness wearables. Garmin says it offers up to 10 days of battery life and around-the-clock monitoring through the Garmin Connect app, with features including heart rate tracking, stress measurements, sleep insights, body battery energy estimates, Pulse Ox and women’s health tracking. Forbes reported that the band went on sale on 24 July 2026 at a price of $199.99.

Tom’s Guide, in a hands-on review, said the device sits between the lighter Fitbit Air and the more premium Whoop 5.0 in both size and ambition, while offering what the publication described as strong value for casual and serious users alike. The review noted that Garmin has tried to combine detailed health data with a format that is easier to wear continuously, which remains a key selling point in the fast-growing category of screenless trackers.

At the Recharge Lounge, guests were guided through a 10-minute relaxation session before moving into a community area for food and product demonstrations. Garmin also offered attendees a chance to enter a draw for one of 40 CIRQA bands by completing a wellness questionnaire. Brenda Younes, Garmin Australasia’s head of marketing, said the launch came as more consumers were prioritising health and wellbeing and described the lounge as a way to let visitors experience recovery data in real time.
