LG Electronics’ shares rose following reports of a renewed meeting with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, signalling potential deepening collaboration in AI and robotic development amid increasing market momentum.
LG Electronics shares rose in early trading on Friday after reports that LG Group chairman Koo Kwang-mo will meet Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang again in Silicon Valley, reviving hopes that the two companies will deepen their work in artificial intelligence and robotics. At 9.50am in Seoul, LG Electronics was trading 2.66% higher at 212,000 won. The move followed a prior closed-door meeting between Koo and Huang in Seoul in June, when they discussed physical AI, manufacturing systems and data-centre infrastructure, according to reports from Aju Press.
The renewed interest stems from the scale of LG’s recent push into AI. In June, Nvidia introduced LG Electronics as a major partner for its Cosmos 3 physical AI foundation model at GTC 2026 in Taiwan, while Huang highlighted LG’s AI home robot, CLOi, in his keynote. That collaboration gave investors a clearer sign that LG is not merely exploring AI as a theme, but tying it to robotics development and other commercial applications.
Nvidia has also described the alliance as part of a broader “AI factory” plan, aimed at helping LG train, simulate, test and deploy AI systems across businesses including robotics, autonomous driving, data-centre technology and GPU cloud services. In Nvidia’s account, the project combines its full-stack AI infrastructure with LG’s strengths in consumer electronics, mobility components, smart spaces and data-centre operations.
Market participants are now looking for evidence that the latest meeting could produce something more concrete than the earlier round of speculation. In late June, Seoul Economic Daily reported that the companies had moved into more detailed talks in the United States and had begun defining the practical scope of their physical AI partnership. Earlier in April, LG Electronics had already said it was expanding cooperation with Nvidia to bolster its robot business, including work on CLOi. For LG’s share price, the key question is whether the Silicon Valley meeting brings a formal strategic partnership or clearer commercial milestones.
