iRacing announces its second price hike in almost two decades, offering members a limited window to renew at existing rates before new prices take effect on 18 August.
iRacing will raise subscription prices on 18 August, but current members still have a short window to lock in today’s rates by renewing early. The change affects the company’s core membership plans and comes after what iRacing says is only its second price increase in nearly 20 years.
According to iRacing’s July announcement, the new monthly price will rise from $13 to $14.75, the three-month plan from $33 to $37.50 and the 12-month plan from $110 to $124.50. The company also said the 24-month option will increase from $199 to $222.50. iRacing said the higher fees reflect rising costs and continued investment in new technology, including a proprietary graphics engine and a single-player Career Mode.
The company has also clarified that early renewal does not overwrite existing membership time. Instead, any additional subscription purchased before the deadline is added to the end of the current term. That means a member with months still remaining can still buy another year, or longer, at the existing rate and have that time activate only after the current subscription expires.
For players who plan to stay on the service, the practical advice is simple: renew before 18 August if you want to avoid the new rates. iRacing has also warned that accounts managed through Steam follow a separate billing process, so members should check how their subscription is handled before making any changes. Direct iRacing accounts should not be renewed through Steam.
