The Asus ExpertBook P5 G2, designed for mobile professionals, integrates advanced AI features, military-standard build, and enterprise security, positioning itself as a high-end contender in the business laptop segment amid configuration variations across regions.
Asus is positioning the ExpertBook P5 G2 as a business laptop built for AI-assisted work, with the company’s Indonesian and US product pages describing it as a Copilot+ PC for modern professionals. The machine uses an aluminium chassis, is rated to the US military durability standard MIL-STD 810H, and is aimed at users who need a light device for frequent travel and office mobility. The Indonesian media report says the notebook weighs about 1.29kg and uses an upgraded cooling system to keep temperatures under control during sustained workloads. The official Asus pages also describe enterprise-focused security features and a 2.5K 144Hz display.
There is, however, a small inconsistency in the published specifications. Media Indonesia says the laptop is based on Intel Core Ultra Series 2, codenamed Lunar Lake, with an NPU capable of up to 47 TOPS for AI tasks. Asus’s current product pages for Indonesia and the US instead refer to up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 processor. The most practical reading is that the line is being marketed across regions with configuration differences, but the core message remains the same: the ExpertBook P5 G2 is designed around local AI processing rather than relying only on cloud services.
On the feature side, Asus highlights its AI software package, including ASUS AI ExpertMeet and ASUS MyExpert, alongside Microsoft Copilot+ PC support. The Indonesian report says the meeting tools can automatically transcribe discussions, translate speech in real time and add on-screen watermarks to help reduce information leakage during online presentations. Security is another major selling point, with the laptop offering a commercial-grade BIOS aligned with NIST SP 800-155, Windows Hello via an IR camera and fingerprint sensor, and TPM 2.0 for hardware-backed protection. Asus also lists up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, up to 3TB of SSD storage across dual M.2 slots, and a 63Wh battery with fast charging.
Pricing in Indonesia is still being framed as indicative rather than fixed. Media Indonesia says the entry version, using an Intel Core Ultra 5 chip, is expected to start at roughly Rp22 million to Rp25 million, while higher-end configurations could exceed Rp30 million. That places the ExpertBook P5 G2 in the upper end of the business-laptop market, where buyers are likely to weigh its AI features, security controls and dual-SSD expandability against the fact that the memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded later.
