Google has launched its latest Pixel range in India, introducing four new smartphones , including a foldable model , along with new Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Buds Pro 2, signalling a broader push into premium hardware and AI-powered features.
Google has expanded its Pixel range in India with four new phones: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The company is positioning the line as a broader push into premium hardware, with the Tensor G6 chip, updated camera systems, longer battery life and a stronger emphasis on on-device AI through Gemini Nano. The launch also brings the Pixel Watch 5 and refreshed Pixel Buds Pro 2 to the Indian market, underlining Google’s wider ecosystem strategy.
The standard Pixel 11 is the most accessible model in the family, but it still receives notable changes. Google says the camera bar is now more than 40 per cent slimmer, while the handset adopts a satin-finish frame and new colour options. It runs on Tensor G6 with 12GB of RAM and comes with 256GB or 512GB of storage. The main camera is a 48MP unit, and Google claims it captures substantially more light than before, with support for up to 30x Super Res Zoom and Instant Night Sight. Battery life is rated at more than 30 hours.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are aimed at buyers who want the most advanced non-folding Pixel hardware. Both use Super Actua displays that can reportedly reach 3,600 nits at peak brightness, alongside a new coating that Google says improves scratch resistance. The phones pair a 50MP main sensor with a 48MP telephoto camera, and Google claims up to 120x Pro Zoom. The firm also says wired charging can reach 75 per cent in about 30 minutes. Android Central and TechRadar both say the broader Pixel 11 line is defined less by radical industrial design changes than by software-led upgrades, including features such as Magic Capture, Pro Stable Video, real-time video translation and an expanded Circle to Search experience in the camera.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is the most ambitious device in the range. Google has slimmed it down by nearly 1mm and cut weight by almost 10 per cent, while claiming better durability than the previous foldable. It includes 16GB of RAM, brighter displays on both sides and support for features such as Split Screen, Drag and Drop and Instant View. TechRadar also notes the foldable’s emphasis on AI-assisted interaction, including visual feedback features tied to Gemini. Google’s broader launch, meanwhile, has attracted criticism for presentation as much as product substance: Android Central described the keynote format as awkward, although it also highlighted accessibility additions such as Sign-to-Text. In India, pricing starts at ₹89,999 for the Pixel 11 and rises to ₹1,86,999 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with pre-orders open ahead of an August 20 sale and Google promising seven years of software and security updates across the family.
