Lenovo’s Idea Tab Pro is being pitched as a mid-range Android tablet with unusually strong specifications for the price, and a current offer from Alternate.de puts the ZAE50132SE model at €278. The device centres on a 12.7-inch 3K panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate and stylus support, while Lenovo positions the wider Idea Tab Pro line as a productivity-friendly option for study and entertainment.
At the core is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300, an eight-core chip from 2023 that was originally aimed at the upper end of the mainstream segment. Lenovo pairs it with 12GB of LPDDR5x memory and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, with microSD expansion available for users who need more space. That combination should remain adequate for general tablet duties, media use and multitasking, even if it is no longer class-leading.
The display is one of the tablet’s main strengths. Lenovo lists 2,944 x 1,840 pixels, 96% DCI-P3 colour coverage and support for active pen input, although the stylus is not included in the box. The compatible Tab Pen Plus is sold separately. Lenovo also includes a fingerprint reader, four speakers, dual cameras and navigation support through GPS, Galileo and GLONASS. TechRadar and Tech Advisor both noted that the Idea Tab Pro offers strong value, with the former praising its build quality and battery life, while the latter said its screen brightness and raw performance are less than exceptional.
Battery life appears to be another selling point. Notebookcheck’s testing of a sister model found Wi-Fi browsing lasted for just under 13.5 hours, and the package includes a charger. That makes the Idea Tab Pro a practical choice for buyers who want a large Android tablet with a sharp screen, pen input and a relatively modest asking price, even if the Android software experience still trails Apple’s iPadOS in some areas, as TechRadar observed.
