In the case of pet owners, they can also offer a practical way to check whether an animal is resting, playing in the garden or causing trouble while alone. eufy is pitching its C35 and C37 cameras as part of that shift, with live viewing, motion alerts and two-way audio designed to keep owners connected to what is happening at home. According to the company, the appeal is not only convenience but also control over privacy, because both cameras support local storage and avoid monthly subscription fees.
Placement matters if the aim is to monitor a pet rather than simply record a room. eufy advises putting a camera where the animal spends most of its time and, for outdoor use, pointing it at a garden, terrace, patio or entrance. The eufyCam C37 is built around pan-and-tilt coverage with 360-degree horizontal movement and 90-degree vertical movement, which the company says helps reduce blind spots. It also uses a detachable 3W solar panel for continuous charging and is rated IP65 for weather resistance.
The C35 is a more compact option for indoor or outdoor use. eufy says it includes colour night vision, motion detection, built-in sound and light alarms, and two-way audio. It also supports local storage through a microSD card of up to 256GB, while the HomeBase Mini adds built-in storage and AI functions such as object and facial recognition. The C37 is also compatible with HomeBase Mini and HomeBase 3, giving it access to similar ecosystem features.
For owners, the practical value lies in the combination of alerts and interaction. Motion notifications mean they do not need to keep opening the app, while the microphone and speaker can be used to calm a pet or discourage it from entering a restricted area. eufy’s message is that these tools make remote care simpler without adding recurring costs, a point that may appeal to buyers looking for a basic but capable home monitoring system.
