Google unveils Gemini 3.7 Flash, a cost-effective AI model with advanced automation for developers

Google introduces Gemini 3.7 Flash, a new AI model designed to revolutionise software development and knowledge work with agent-style automation and multi-task capabilities, offering a lower-cost solution for high-volume use.

Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, a new model in its Flash family aimed at software development, coding support and other forms of knowledge work, according to TelecomTalk. The company is positioning it as a model that can do more with less human intervention, particularly when paired with software and web tools.

The main appeal is agent-style automation. Google says Gemini 3.7 Flash is designed to carry out multi-step tasks by planning, using tools and managing workflows rather than simply answering prompts. In practical terms, that means it is intended to help developers build applications, write code more reliably and handle structured tasks with fewer manual corrections.

Tom’s Guide reported that the model is also being integrated into Google’s Spark AI assistant for Pro and Ultra subscribers, where it can work across Workspace services such as Gmail and Google Drive. In one test described by the site, the model reviewed recent emails and files, identified deadlines and obligations, and organised the findings into a dated task list with suggested actions while respecting permissions.

Google has also used the launch to sharpen the model’s commercial appeal. TelecomTalk said Gemini 3.7 Flash is being offered at an introductory rate of $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens until the end of December 2026. Gadgets 360 said the wider Gemini 3 Flash release is available across the Gemini app, the web interface, AI Mode in Search and developer tools including the Gemini API, AI Studio, Gemini CLI and Antigravity, with enterprise access through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise. The same report said Google is promoting gains in speed and efficiency, with the model pitched as a lower-cost option for high-volume use.
