Google has refreshed nearly its entire hardware lineup at this week’s Made by Google event, introducing the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and the new Pixel Tag, all designed to work seamlessly within a connected ecosystem.
Google used this week’s Made by Google event to refresh almost its entire hardware line-up, unveiling four Pixel 11 phones, the Pixel Watch 5 and its first stand-alone tracker, the Pixel Tag. The announcements point to a more tightly integrated ecosystem, with magnets, Qi2.2 charging and new Pixelsnap accessories designed to work across phones, watches and wearables.
The Pixel 11 is the entry model, but it is no longer a stripped-back device. It runs on Google’s Tensor G6 chip, ships with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and now supports 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging. Google has also added a HiLight LED ring beside the rear camera for discreet notifications when the phone is placed face-down. Camera hardware includes a 48MP main sensor, a 5x telephoto lens and up to 30x Super Zoom, with colour options including Frost, Obsidian, Hibiscus and Pistachio. Android Central said the Qi2.2 support also ties into Google’s magnetic Pixelsnap accessory system.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL follow the same basic formula, but with larger displays, higher peak brightness and more storage headroom. The smaller Pro has a 6.3-inch Super Actua screen, while the Pro XL uses a 6.8-inch panel rated at up to 3,600 nits. Both use Tensor G6 and support 25W Qi2.2 charging, with configurations beginning at 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and rising to 16GB and 1TB. Google has kept the HiLight ring on the rear, while the camera system moves to a 50MP main sensor and a 48MP telephoto unit with up to 120x Pro Zoom. Digital Camera World reported that Google is also claiming a substantial jump in light sensitivity from the new 48MP camera hardware.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold brings the same processor and charging standard to Google’s folding phone, with a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner Super Actua Flex panel, both rated at up to 3,600 nits. It starts with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a 512GB option available, and carries a new 48MP main camera alongside telephoto zoom of up to 30x. Google is limiting the foldable to Olive and Obsidian finishes.
The Pixel Watch 5 stays close to the existing Pixel Watch design, but Google has updated the internals and battery claims. It comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes, uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated chip, and includes 64GB of storage, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, ultra-wideband and dual-frequency GPS. The Actua 360 LTPO AMOLED display reaches 3,000 nits, and battery life is rated at up to 30 hours on the 41mm model with always-on display active, or 40 hours on the 45mm version. Android Central noted that the overall design remains familiar, with the main changes focused on connectivity and efficiency rather than a wholesale redesign.
Google’s new Pixel Tag is its first independent Bluetooth tracker, aimed at keys, bags and luggage. It works with the Find Hub network and adds ultra-wideband precision finding, Bluetooth Channel Sounding and a built-in speaker, while the replaceable battery is rated for more than a year. The tag carries an IP67 rating and supports Android 9 or later, with a button that can also make a paired phone ring. Google has also added new Pixel cases, Pixelsnap accessories and Olive Pixel Buds Pro 2 to the broader launch package.
