Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a new AI tool, My FanCam, allowing users to isolate and highlight subjects in recorded footage, signalling a shift towards more advanced software-driven features on Fan Edition devices.
Samsung’s next Galaxy S Fan Edition phone is reportedly in line for a new AI video tool called My FanCam, which would let users isolate a person or other subject from footage already recorded and generate a clip that keeps that subject in view. According to the report from 24NewsHD, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to arrive with One UI 9.0 based on Android 17, the same software platform Samsung is preparing for its latest foldable models.
The feature is described as an after-the-fact editing option rather than a live recording aid. That sets it apart from Samsung’s Auto Framing function in the Camera app, which follows a subject while the video is being shot. My FanCam would instead analyse existing footage and create a new version centred on the chosen person or object, making it potentially useful for concerts, sports events and family gatherings where movement often takes the subject out of frame.
The timing is notable because Android Central says Samsung has already pushed One UI 9 Beta 5 for the Galaxy S26 line, adding fixes for interface bugs alongside the August 2026 security patch. The same report says Samsung is already working on One UI 9.5, with early builds in development, although a stable release is not expected until April or May 2027.
If the My FanCam leak proves accurate, Samsung appears to be continuing a pattern of bringing Galaxy AI features to its Fan Edition devices, rather than reserving them only for its premium flagships. 24NewsHD reports that the tool is also expected on the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, with possible support for some older high-end models, although it has not yet appeared in the current One UI 9 beta. Separate reporting from T3 suggests the S26 FE itself may arrive in September 2026 with only modest hardware changes and a higher starting price, which would make software additions such as My FanCam more important to its appeal.
