Nothing has expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of the CMF Clip Pro, a clip-style open-ear earphone offering advanced ergonomics, high-resolution sound support, and innovative call features.
Nothing’s CMF has widened its audio line-up with the launch of the CMF Clip Pro, its first clip-style open-ear earphones. The model went on sale on 15 August at ¥12,800 and comes in light grey, dark grey and coral, according to the company. The new release follows CMF’s recent push into more distinctive, design-led audio products.
The Clip Pro uses a three-point clip structure intended to spread pressure across the ear rather than concentrating it in one spot. Nothing says the design is based on an ergonomic triangle, with a 0.5mm titanium wire core and TPU material used to help the earphones sit more naturally on different ear shapes. Each earpiece weighs 5.9g, keeping the format relatively light for extended wear.
Audio hardware centres on a 10.8mm dual-magnet driver, which Nothing says is larger than what is typically found in clip-style open-ear earphones. The set also supports LDAC, AAC and SBC, giving it high-resolution wireless audio support when used with compatible devices. To address the low-end limitations common to open-ear designs, the model includes an Ultra Bass system that can be adjusted in three stages through the Nothing X app.
For calls, the Clip Pro combines two HD microphones on each side with a voice pickup unit that senses bone vibration. Nothing says this Clear Voice system is designed to isolate speech in busy streets, cafés, offices and windy outdoor settings. The earphones also include a private listening mode to reduce sound leakage, with settings in the app allowing users to leave it always on, switch it on only for calls or disable it entirely.
Control is handled through both the earbuds and the charging case. The case includes CMF’s physical smart dial, which can be used for volume, playback, calls and pairing without reaching for a phone, even with wet hands or gloves. The earphones themselves also have physical buttons. Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours on the earbuds alone and up to 32.5 hours including the case, while a 10-minute charge is said to deliver up to four hours of playback. Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device pairing, low-latency mode, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and IP54 resistance are also listed among the features.
