Amazon discounts make Beats Solo 4 and Studio Pro more comparable but trade-offs remain

Amazon has slashed prices on Beats Solo 4 and Studio Pro headphones, shifting the competitive landscape with a closer pricing gap and highlighting differences in battery life and noise cancellation features.

Amazon is discounting two current Beats headphones, with the Solo 4 falling to under $130 and the Studio Pro dropping to below $170, according to PhoneArena. The pricing puts the two models unusually close together, which makes the choice less about budget and more about whether the buyer values battery life or active noise cancellation.

The Solo 4 are the cheaper option and, as PhoneArena notes, they bring up to 50 hours of battery life, lossless audio over USB-C and Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking. The trade-off is that they do not include active noise cancellation. For listeners who want long runtime and solid sound without paying for ANC, they now look like a stronger value than usual.

The Studio Pro remain the more capable all-rounder. PhoneArena says the model combines better sound with active noise cancellation and up to 40 hours of listening time. That puts it closer to premium rivals such as Bose’s higher-end noise-cancelling headphones, although PhoneArena says its ANC still does not quite match the class leaders. The publication also cautions that both Beats models are relatively compact, which may affect comfort over long listening sessions for people with larger ears.

Even so, the current Amazon offers make both headphones easier to recommend than at full price. PhoneArena says Amazon’s 30-day return window reduces the risk for buyers deciding between them, and the larger discount on the Studio Pro may appeal to anyone who wants ANC without paying a flagship price.
