Vivo introduces the V70 FE with a 200 MP camera and 7,000 mAh battery for budget-conscious users, alongside the more premium V70 5G focused on zoom and video capabilities, highlighting a strategic split in targeting different buyer priorities.
vivo is pushing two versions of its V70 range at different buyer priorities, with Amazon listings in Italy placing the V70 FE at €331.55 and the V70 5G at €527.74. According to HWUpgrade, the cheaper model is aimed at users who want a high-resolution main camera and long battery life, while the pricier handset leans more heavily on ZEISS-branded optics and stronger video capabilities.
The V70 FE is the more battery-focused option. vivo says the phone uses a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 main sensor with optical image stabilisation, paired with a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, 90W wired charging, a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, plus a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The company also lists IP68 and IP69 protection, along with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
There is, however, a discrepancy in battery figures across retailers and spec pages. HWUpgrade notes that Amazon’s listing shows 5,250 mAh for the V70 FE, while vivo’s own product page and GSMArena both indicate 7,000 mAh. On the evidence available, the 7,000 mAh figure appears to be the official rating, with the lower number likely reflecting a different measurement method or an error in the listing.
The V70 5G takes a different route. vivo’s product page describes a 50 MP ZEISS main camera, a 50 MP super telephoto lens with optical zoom, a 6.59-inch OLED panel, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It also supports 90W charging, runs Android 16 and carries IP68 and IP69 certification. HWUpgrade says the device can record video at up to 4K 60fps, making it the more suitable choice for users who value portraits, distant subjects and steadier footage.
In practical terms, the choice is clear. The V70 FE is the stronger value proposition for buyers who want a large battery, a 200 MP camera and a lower entry price. The V70 5G is the more complete imaging phone, especially for zoom photography and video, but it asks for a higher outlay and accepts a smaller battery.
