To mark its 60th anniversary, Best Buy kicks off a seven-day promotional event featuring exclusive deals on electronics from Apple, Samsung, Google, LG, gaming hardware, and more, with special rewards for loyalty members amid Black Friday-style discounts.
Best Buy has opened a broad 60th Anniversary Sale, turning its Deals of the Day page into a sequence of brand-led flash promotions and wider category discounts. 9to5Toys says the event runs for seven days and spans Apple, Samsung, Google, LG, gaming hardware and other electronics, with the retailer aiming for the sort of scale usually associated with Black Friday-style campaigns.
The daily spotlight offers begin with Microsoft on 17 August, followed by Samsung on 18 August, Apple on 19 August and LG on 20 August. Best Buy’s own sale page says the promotion covers electronics, appliances and home goods, with limited-time deals layered on top of the usual site-wide markdowns.
Among the headline offers highlighted so far are price cuts of up to $650 on laptops, Xbox accessories and monitors. 9to5Toys also points to savings on Apple products, including AirPods Max 2, the iPhone Air and MacBook Neo, although it notes that some of those prices are already being matched by Amazon or may be matched shortly.
There is also a sharper push to reward loyalty members. According to the sale details, Best Buy Plus and Total members can earn 10 times the usual rewards rate, equivalent to up to $60 back on qualifying purchases. For MacBook Neo buyers, Best Buy is also bundling a free $25 Starbucks gift card with select purchases, a small incentive that may help offset the model’s recent higher pricing.
Google’s Pixel 11 family is set to remain part of the promotion through much of the week, including the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and 11 Pro Fold pre-order offers, alongside 20% off new Pixelsnap cases. 9to5Toys says Amazon and Best Buy are broadly matching trade-in values and gift-card incentives, though Amazon customers can also use a promo code to shave an extra $150 off the Pixel 11 Pro XL.
