Google has announced the Pixel 11 Pro, offering innovative features and a premium price. To soften the cost, the tech giant is emphasising trade-in discounts, allowing buyers to save up to £850, with final prices dropping as low as £229 after credits. The device boasts significant upgrades, including a new Tensor G6 chip, advanced camera systems, and rapid performance improvements.
Google’s Pixel 11 Pro arrives at a premium price, but the company is leaning hard on trade-in savings to make the upgrade less painful. The handset is available to pre-order now and will go on sale on 20 August, with UK pricing set at £1,079. Google says eligible trade-ins include devices from its own range, as well as phones from Samsung, Apple and other brands, with savings of up to £850 depending on the handset returned.
That trade-in offer can make a meaningful difference. Google’s UK support pages say the final credit is confirmed only after the old device has been inspected, although an estimated value is shown at checkout. In the best-case scenario, the company says, a Pixel 11 Pro could fall to as little as £229 after credit is applied.
The Pro model is also being positioned as a major technical step up from the Pixel 10. According to Google and product reporting, it is the first Pixel to use the Tensor G6 chip, which is said to deliver faster browsing and quicker Gemini processing. Android Central reported that the wider Pixel 11 range includes four models, with the Pro variants getting up to 16GB of RAM, storage options as high as 1TB and peak display brightness of up to 3,600 nits.
Camera changes are a central part of the pitch. Digital Camera World reported that the Pixel 11 Pro includes upgraded sensors and a telephoto system capable of 120x Pro Zoom, while Google is promoting Magic Capture, an AI-assisted mode that helps record video and still images at the same time. The company is also claiming stronger low-light performance and faster performance in its Gemini features, aimed squarely at buyers who want both imaging quality and on-device AI tools.
