Jackery expands beyond portable power with new modular energy ecosystem at IFA 2026

Jackery unveils a new range of modular power stations, solar panels, and home-energy solutions at IFA 2026, signalling a pivot from outdoor specialist to comprehensive home and travel energy provider amid industry-wide shifts.

Jackery is using IFA 2026 to present a broader pitch than portable power alone. The company says it will show a new generation of expandable power stations alongside fresh solar panels at its Berlin stand from 4 to 8 September, signalling a shift from a specialist outdoor brand towards a wider home-energy supplier. Reuters-style reporting would note that this is part of a broader industry move, as consumer battery systems are increasingly being positioned for both travel and household resilience, according to Jackery’s announcement and the company’s product materials.

At the centre of the launch is a three-model Plus family: the Explorer 1000 Plus v2, Explorer 2000 Plus v2 and Explorer 3600 Plus. Jackery says the systems are modular and can be expanded with extra battery packs, allowing buyers to match capacity to use cases ranging from camping and van life to site work and backup for essential home appliances. The company says the lineup spans roughly 1kWh to 3.5kWh of storage, with the smallest model offering up to 1,800 watts of continuous output and support for multiple charging options, including solar input.

Jackery is also widening the scope of its display well beyond portable units. The company says it will bring its home-energy ecosystem, SolarVault-3 extensions, solar roof tiles and the EnergyGuard Max large-scale storage system to the fair. It is also introducing FridgeGuard, a slim backup battery designed for refrigerators and other sensitive appliances. Jackery says it includes a 1,024Wh LiFePO4 battery, 800 watts of continuous output, 1,600 watts peak power and a UPS switchover time of under 10 milliseconds. The product is listed by Jackery as capable of providing up to 15 hours of runtime for a typical fridge and can be expanded to 2,048Wh with an additional battery pack. Jackery’s product page says it is sold exclusively through Costco in the United States.

The company is framing the launch as a step towards a connected energy platform rather than a single-product line. Brady Sun, Jackery’s head of Europe, said the portfolio is evolving into a “fully networked, intelligent energy ecosystem” with safety as a priority. Speaking in the company statement, he said the systems are intended for people who want energy independence while travelling, protection against outages at home, or lower reliance on the grid. Jackery will formally present the new power-station family at its stand on 4 September at 3pm local time.
