Dell has launched a new variant of its premium ultraportable XPS 13 in China, featuring Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 355 processor, a high-brightness 13.4-inch display, and advanced connectivity options, signalling a refreshed push in the competitive ultrabook market.
Dell has added a new XPS 13 variant to its China line-up, extending a refreshed XPS range that already includes the XPS 14 and XPS 16. According to Notebookcheck, the new model pairs Intel’s Core Ultra 7 355 with a 13.4-inch touch display, while Windows Central reported earlier in the year that Dell first outlined the configuration at Computex 2026 as part of a broader XPS relaunch.
The specification is aimed at the premium ultraportable segment. Notebookcheck says the panel runs at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, supports a variable refresh rate from 30Hz to 120Hz, reaches 500 nits and covers the DCI-P3 colour space in full. FoneArena and a later hands-on review both describe the screen as a 2.5K-class OLED-less LCD panel with Dolby Vision support, while the review also highlighted the 500-nit peak brightness and the 100 per cent DCI-P3 claim.
Dell is offering four memory-and-storage combinations, with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage. Dell’s own product listings for the XPS 13 family also point to up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, up to 1TB of SSD capacity and Wi-Fi 7 support, although the company’s US page still centres on a 2K display specification for the broader model line. Notebookcheck also notes a dual-fan cooling design, a precision touchpad, four speakers rated at 8W in total, a 2MP FHD infrared camera and two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports.
Despite its compact size, the machine weighs from 1kg and measures 12.7mm thick, which Notebookcheck says makes it lighter than Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air M5. Dell pairs the laptop with a 52Wh battery and a 65W GaN charger. The Chinese prices translate to roughly €1,850 for the 16GB/512GB version, €2,100 for 16GB/1TB, €2,310 for 32GB/512GB and €2,560 for 32GB/1TB. Dell has not yet said whether these Core Ultra 7 355 configurations will go on sale outside China.
