Ahead of its China launch on 18 August, iQOO unveils details of the Neo 11 Ultra, highlighting advanced cooling, a powerful chipset, and professional esports certification, signalling a new era in gaming-focused smartphones.
iQOO has laid out fresh details of the Neo 11 Ultra ahead of its launch in China on 18 August, positioning the phone as a gaming-focused model with a large battery, a new Dimensity chipset and substantial cooling hardware, according to IXBT News. The company says the device will use the Dimensity 9500M with an 11-core graphics processor, alongside a dedicated Q2 chip and a 9,100mAh battery.
The headline change is the thermal and gaming package. IXBT News reports that iQOO is using a new Monster Super-Core Engine, combining hardware and software tuning for games, and claims the phone can hold a demanding open-world title at maximum graphics settings and 60 frames per second for an hour, even while charging. The handset also gets an 8,000 sq mm Ice Dome vapour chamber, which iQOO says improves heat spread and can reduce CPU temperature quickly.
The Neo 11 Ultra has also been certified for use in China’s KPL professional esports league, a sign that iQOO is pitching it directly at mobile gaming users. Support has been confirmed for Dark Zone Breakout at up to 120 frames per second with ray tracing, while the display is said to be a 6.83-inch flat 2K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Other reported specifications include a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.
Design-wise, the phone is said to combine a metal side frame with IP68 and IP69 protection, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, an 8.6mm profile and a 225g weight. That places it in the same broad segment as earlier Neo models, but with a clear shift towards endurance and sustained performance. Earlier reports from Gizmochina suggested iQOO was preparing a Neo 11 series variant with a Dimensity chip and Q2 helper chip, while FoneArena and The Tech Outlook had previously tracked the standard Neo 11’s China launch plans, showing how the line has continued to evolve in specs and positioning.
