Samsung introduces the Galaxy Forever programme in India, offering a combined financing, protection, and buyback scheme to make its premium foldables more accessible and upgrade-friendly for Indian consumers.
Samsung has opened a new ownership route for its Galaxy Z Fold 8 series in India, combining financing, protection and a buyback promise into one package. According to Samsung’s India website and the company’s announcement, the Galaxy Forever programme is designed for buyers who want to avoid paying the full flagship price upfront while still keeping an upgrade path after launch. Samsung said the offer applies to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The scheme includes 24 months of no-cost EMI and Samsung Care+ cover, which adds accidental and liquid damage protection without a separate purchase, along with a guaranteed buyback value of up to 55% of the handset’s invoice price. Buyers can return the device from the 10th month onwards, with the payout tapering over time: 55% between months 10 and 11, 50% between months 12 and 13, 45% between months 14 and 18, and 40% between months 19 and 25, according to Samsung. The company has positioned the programme as a simpler alternative to financing and insurance arranged separately.
Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra costs Rs. 9,417 a month under the plan, made up of an Rs. 8,334 EMI and an Rs. 1,083 programme fee. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is priced at Rs. 8,584 a month, with an Rs. 7,500 device EMI and an Rs. 1,084 programme fee. The monthly figures sit against official starting prices of Rs. 1,99,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Rs. 1,79,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, both in 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variants.
The broader launch also shows how Samsung is trying to make premium foldables more manageable to buy in India. On its product pages, the company describes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 as its lightest foldable yet, weighing 201 grammes and using a customised Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Samsung says the device features a redesigned 10:16 cover screen and 4:3 main display, while Android Central reported that the wider family also brings a thinner titanium folding glass structure, larger batteries and, in the case of the Ultra model, an 8-inch display and a 200MP camera. That broader hardware push comes as Samsung continues to streamline the foldable line, even as some reviewers note the absence of S Pen support on the latest models.
