Nimble’s SharePower is a compact portable charger that tries to do more than most rivals without becoming bulky. In Engadget’s review, the device is described as a neat rectangular pack made from recycled plastic, with rounded edges, a small digital charge read-out and a design that keeps its extras tightly integrated rather than adding separate accessories.
Its main trick is a magnetic split. The battery pack can be pulled apart into two matched halves, each with its own 5,000mAh cell and USB-C connection. That gives it unusual flexibility: one person can carry the full 10,000mAh pack, or two people can share the power banks separately. According to Nimble’s product information and other reviews, the charger is also built with a silicone outer layer and comes in multiple colours, while the company continues to position it as part of its recycled-materials line-up.
Engadget noted that the internal side of the device hides a captive USB-C cable, so one half can charge a device without requiring a separate lead. The other half uses a fold-out USB-C plug that connects directly to the bottom of a phone or tablet. That arrangement makes the SharePower unusually versatile for a charger its size, and the publication said it feels close in footprint to a deck of cards.
There are, however, trade-offs. Engadget said the magnetic join does not feel especially secure, and a hard shake could separate the two halves unintentionally. The review also questioned the durability of the built-in cable, since a fixed lead is harder to replace if it wears out. Other reviews have echoed the same concern about the magnetic hold, even while praising the overall concept.
Performance appears solid rather than class-leading. Popular Mechanics said the combined pack tops out at 20W per device, which is adequate for everyday charging but not especially fast. G Style Magazine and Nimble both listed the SharePower at $79.95, placing it firmly in premium territory for a 10,000mAh charger. The result is a cleverly designed accessory aimed at users who value convenience, sharing and portability more than outright charging speed.
