Honor Malaysia has introduced two new models to its Choice audio range, the Headphones Max and Pro, featuring high-resolution audio, extensive battery life, and active noise cancellation, signalling a broader shift into more affordable audio devices.
Honor Malaysia has expanded its Choice audio line with two over-ear models now listed locally: the Choice Headphones Max and the Choice Headphones Pro. The naming is awkward, but the positioning is clear enough. The Max is the more feature-led model, while the Pro is the version with the longer battery life on paper.
According to Honor’s Malaysian product pages, the Choice Headphones Max use 40mm high-resolution neodymium dynamic drivers, an angled driver layout and separate rear acoustic chambers in each earcup. The company also says they support dual Hi-Res Lossless Audio, which covers both wired and wireless playback, plus 360-degree spatial audio. Noise cancellation is rated at up to 57dB at peak, with an average full-band ANC figure of 35dB. Honor says the headset can last up to 50 hours with ANC enabled, or up to 70 hours with ANC switched off, and that 10 minutes of charging can add up to eight hours of listening.
The Headphones Pro are listed at RM399, above the Max at RM349. Honor describes them as having a hard-shell build, memory foam earcups, 40mm drivers, adaptive active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.4, a triple-microphone call noise-reduction system and a low-latency game mode. Battery life is quoted at up to 80 hours without ANC, dropping by about half when noise cancellation is used. The package also includes a 3.5mm auxiliary cable and a Type-C charging cable.
Honor’s wider CHOICE range in Malaysia now includes audio products, wearables and accessories, suggesting the company is using the sub-brand as a broader entry point for lower-cost devices. The local launch also follows earlier CHOICE releases such as the MouseBuds Pro and the KUMI AI Note, which indicates that Honor is continuing to widen its non-phone portfolio in Malaysia.
