Oppo Philippines has announced the availability of the Reno16 Series 5G, introducing innovative AI-powered portrait photography and industry-first designs, with exclusive promotions and entertainment collaborations to drive early sales.
OPPO Philippines has confirmed that the Reno16 Series 5G is now on sale in the country, bringing the Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G to its local line-up. The series is positioned around portrait photography and AI-assisted imaging, with OPPO describing the range as part of its “Pocket Studio” concept and highlighting a distinctive 3D Pop Planet design across the family. According to OPPO’s own launch material, the Pop White edition also uses an industry-first HoloVerse 3D Technology finish.
At the top of the range, the Reno16 Pro 5G carries a 200-megapixel main camera, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto portrait camera with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. OPPO also says the phone includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera for group selfies. The company has paired the launch with AI features including AI Remix Collage and Pop Cam, as well as the OPPO Bubble accessory, which lets users preview framing and trigger the shutter remotely.
Local pricing starts at ₱44,999 for the Reno16 F 5G with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, rising to ₱49,999 for the 8GB-plus-256GB version. The Reno16 5G is priced at ₱59,999 for its 12GB-plus-256GB configuration, while the Reno16 Pro 5G costs ₱74,999 in the 12GB-plus-256GB model. Reports from Philippine gadget sites said pre-orders opened nationwide through OPPO stores and online channels, including partner e-commerce platforms and telco outlets, with the early purchase window running through mid-August.
The launch has also been tied to a set of incentives for early buyers. OPPO Philippines says promotions can include discounts of up to ₱3,000, a further ₱2,000 saving through the MY OPPO App, and bundled items such as Enco Buds3 Pro earphones or Tango Jet 10,000mAh power banks, depending on the model and channel. Limited-edition BABYMONSTER photocards are also being offered, alongside a social-media challenge linked to the group and a fan meet-up prize draw in Jakarta, underlining how the company is using entertainment tie-ins to support the handset rollout.
