HONOR Philippines is set to unveil the Magic V6 on 24 August 2026, placing a new flagship foldable in the centre of its premium smartphone push. Local tech outlets say the launch will be streamed live at 6.00pm, with pricing and pre-order details expected to be confirmed at the event.
The device is being positioned around three familiar claims in the foldable market: thinner design, stronger protection and more capable AI features. According to reports from tech publications, the Magic V6 pairs a large inner display with a 6.52-inch outer screen, while the handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. The same reports say it carries a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging.
Durability is being treated as the key differentiator. HONOR has previously shown teaser material stressing toughness, and the company demonstrated the phone at the Gentry Open 2026 in a tennis-court stunt aimed at underlining its resistance to daily wear. Separate reports say the handset is rated IP68 and IP69, uses a Super Steel Hinge tested for up to 500,000 folds, and includes an anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield on the cover screen.
The product arrives as foldable phones continue to move upmarket, with manufacturers competing on sturdiness, camera quality and software assistance as much as on size and weight. Wallpaper reported that the Magic V6 is notably slim at 8.75mm when folded and weighs 219g, while also carrying what it described as the largest battery yet seen in a foldable.
