To mark 25 years of Xbox, Microsoft has launched a collector’s line of translucent accessories from Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone and GameSir, blending retro design with modern performance and highlighting its strategy of partnering with hardware brands.
Microsoft has marked Xbox’s 25th anniversary with a set of licensed accessories that leans hard into early-2000s nostalgia. The Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection revives translucent green styling, echoing the original console rather than the current hardware, and brings together products from Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone and GameSir, according to Microsoft’s announcement and reporting by TechSpot.
Razer’s contribution is the most substantial. The line includes the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse, which the company says offers a 35,000 DPI sensor, 11 programmable buttons and battery life of up to 210 hours, alongside the BlackWidow V4 75% mechanical keyboard and Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed Bluetooth earbuds. Microsoft said pre-orders are open and that shipping is due to begin on 20 October 2026.
The collection is not limited to PC accessories. 8BitDo has produced a translucent charging dock for Xbox controllers, while Backbone has unveiled a mobile controller in translucent blue, orange and crystal variants. GameSir has also joined the line-up with the X5 Lite for Xbox, extending the same commemorative visual language across a broader range of devices.
The release underlines Microsoft’s growing reliance on partner hardware for Xbox-branded products. The company has already taken a similar approach with devices such as the ROG Xbox Ally, developed with Asus, suggesting that accessories and co-branded hardware are now a key part of its strategy. For buyers in Brazil, Canaltech noted that the anniversary products do not appear to be listed for direct shipping through the manufacturers’ official channels, so local availability may depend on importers.
