Amazfit Balance 3 debuts in Australia with cutting-edge hybrid training features

Amazfit launches its Balance 3 smartwatch in Australia, targeting the country’s growing hybrid and HYROX fitness scene with innovative health tracking and race-specific functions.

Amazfit has brought its Balance 3 smartwatch to Australia, positioning the device at the centre of the country’s expanding HYROX and hybrid-training scene. The launch in Sydney, held at Coogee Diggers, was built around fitness drills inspired by the race format, with attendees testing the watch under coach supervision. The device is aimed at people who split their training between strength work, endurance sessions and recovery.

The headline feature is HybridCharge, a scoring system that folds training load, recovery status, stress and day-to-day strain into a single figure out of 100. Amazfit says the watch breaks that down through BioCharge for energy and recovery, LifeLoad for outside pressures such as travel fatigue and illness, and Training Load for exercise stress. Zepp Coach provides guided workouts and personal suggestions, while Weekly Focus and Training Balance are designed to show how effort is spread across different types of training.

According to Amazfit, the Balance 3 also includes HYROX-specific training and race-day functions, developed through the brand’s role as the competition’s official global wearable partner. The watch has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with sapphire glass and a quoted peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It uses a stainless-steel case, has passed six military-grade durability tests and is rated to 10ATM water resistance. Other features include dual-band GPS, offline maps, Bluetooth calling, Wi-Fi and 64GB of storage for music and podcasts.

Amazfit has set the Australian price at A$519. The company says battery life can last up to 21 days in typical use, or 55 hours with high-accuracy GPS enabled. Health tracking is handled by the BioTracker 6.0 sensor, which monitors heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep and heart rate variability. The launch follows the opening of Amazfit’s Australian online store in July, which initially carried the A$239 Active 3 Premium and the A$166 Helio Strap. Globally, Amazfit says it has sold more than 200 million devices and has 42 million daily active users across more than 90 countries.
