Honor unveils the 600S 5G, a mid-range handset featuring an 8,100mAh battery, AI-focused shortcuts, and rugged design, targeting Taiwan and Hong Kong markets with a competitive price of around $255.
Honor has introduced the 600S 5G, a mid-range handset built around an unusually large battery, a toughened chassis and a set of AI-focused shortcuts. According to Honor’s Taiwan and Hong Kong product pages, the phone will first reach those two markets, while Zoomit reported a launch price of about $255.
The device centres on a 6.87-inch TFT LCD panel with a 1,592 x 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor says peak brightness reaches 1,020 nits, with DC dimming and low-blue-light support included to reduce eye strain. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Battery life is one of the main selling points. Honor has fitted an 8,100mAh cell with 45W wired charging, and claims the battery should retain more than 80% of its original capacity after five years under laboratory conditions. The phone also supports RAM Turbo, which can raise virtual memory to 16GB, and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Camera hardware is modest but serviceable, with a 50-megapixel rear camera at f/1.8 and a 5-megapixel front camera, both capable of 1080p video recording. Honor has also added a dedicated AI Key for functions such as visual search, summarisation and intelligent photo cleaning. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 protection ratings, plus certification for drops from up to 2.5 metres, and weighs 216.5 grams. It will be sold in gold, purple and black.
