Kadan launches the 1Home Touch, a wall-mounted control panel designed to integrate KNX and Matter devices on a single interface, streamlining professional smart home installations with automated layouts and built-in proximity sensing.
Kadan has introduced the 1Home Touch, a wall-mounted control panel aimed at bringing KNX and Matter devices together on one screen. The 4-inch touchscreen is intended to manage lighting, blinds, climate, audio, security, energy monitoring and scenes from a single interface, according to Kadan’s product information and the related 1Home documentation.
The company says the panel is designed with installers in mind. It can generate room-based layouts automatically from an existing device configuration, then let integrators refine the interface through a drag-and-drop editor. That approach is meant to reduce the amount of manual screen building often involved in professional smart home projects, while still allowing scenes, individual devices or mixed layouts to be presented in a tailored way.
Kadan also highlights a built-in proximity sensor that wakes the display when someone approaches. The unit includes a microphone and speaker for SIP intercom use, although the microphone remains off when the intercom function is not active. Connectivity is handled through WiFi or Ethernet, with power available via PoE or KNX auxiliary supply. The panel measures 86 x 86 x 35 mm and is designed to fit a range of wall-box formats.
The 1Home Touch works as an extension of other 1Home hardware, including the 1Home Server KNX Pro, 1Home Server KNX, 1Home Server KNX Bridge, 1Home Server CH and 1Home Voice & Visu. That places it within a broader 1Home ecosystem that links KNX installations with Matter-certified devices and other smart home platforms through a common control layer. 1Home’s own documentation says its KNX platform supports local control and can connect with major ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.
