L&L Live Life has launched a retractable charging cable designed to remove some of the friction that often comes with this product category. The company says it built the cable around a high-precision bearing mechanism so it can extend and retract more smoothly, even when pulled from one side, rather than requiring an even tug at both ends.
The cable is rated for up to 240W charging and offers four length settings, making it suitable for phones, tablets, laptops and handheld gaming devices. L&L Live Life also says it has included a magnetic plug storage system to keep the connector tidy in transit, with the aim of reducing snags inside bags and pockets.
Portability is a central part of the design. When stowed, the cable is about 1.8cm thick and weighs roughly 40g, putting it in the same compact class as other travel-friendly accessories, but with the added benefit of a retractable form factor. That makes it easier to carry for commuting, business trips and holidays, where users may want one cable that can serve several devices without taking up much space.
The company says the adjustable lengths let users keep the cable short on a desk or extend it further beside a bed or sofa. It is being sold through Rakuten, Yahoo! Shopping and TikTok Shop. As with other high-wattage chargers, the actual charging speed will depend on the charger, the device and the surrounding conditions, so the full 240W figure is not guaranteed across every setup.
