Oppo and Xiaomi have raised prices on several smartphones and tablets in India, with some models now costing as much as Rs 5,000 more, according to a tipster post cited by Gadgets 360. The revisions affect both flagship and mid-range devices, including the Oppo Find X9s, Xiaomi Pad 8, Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi 15A, and appear to reflect the continued pressure of rising memory-component costs.
The sharpest increase appears to be on the Oppo Find X9s. Gadgets 360 said the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version has moved to Rs 84,999 from Rs 79,999, while the 12GB and 512GB model has risen to Rs 94,999 from Rs 89,999. The outlet said the new prices were visible on Oppo’s India website, although the company had not formally announced the change at the time of publication.
Xiaomi has also adjusted the Pad 8 line. According to Gadgets 360, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant now costs Rs 46,999, up from Rs 43,999, while the Nano Texture edition has increased to Rs 48,999 from Rs 45,999. Earlier reports from Gadgets 360 and other tracking sites had already noted that the Pad 8 had been subject to earlier price rises in India, reinforcing the view that the tablet segment is being hit by the same component-cost trend.
The Redmi Pad 2 has seen smaller but broader revisions. The 4GB and 128GB Wi-Fi model is said to have risen to Rs 19,999 from Rs 18,999, while the 4GB and 128GB cellular version now costs Rs 20,999. Gadgets 360 also reported a rise for the 6GB and 128GB cellular model to Rs 23,999, and for the 8GB and 256GB cellular version to Rs 25,999.
The Redmi 15A has also been repriced across multiple configurations. The 4GB and 64GB model has reportedly moved to Rs 16,499 from Rs 15,999, while the 4GB and 128GB version has climbed to Rs 18,499 from Rs 17,499. The 6GB and 128GB configuration is now said to cost Rs 20,499, up from Rs 19,499. As with the other devices, the brands had not issued official statements when the revised pricing was reported, but the changes were visible on their Indian websites, suggesting the increases have already taken effect.
