Anker's SleepLab Pro uses 60GHz radar to track sleep without wearables

At IFA 2026, Anker unveils the SleepLab Pro, a bedside speaker and sleep tracker that uses 60GHz radar to monitor sleep stages and vital signs without requiring wearables, promising more accurate and unobtrusive sleep analysis.

Anker has used the IFA 2026 stage to push its sleep-focused audio range into unusual territory: a bedside speaker that also acts as a contact-free sleep tracker. The SleepLab Pro sits by the bed and uses 60GHz radar to monitor motion and body signals while a person sleeps, rather than relying on a watch, ring or ear-worn sensor. According to Anker, that allows it to estimate heart rate, breathing rate and sleep stages without anything being worn overnight.

The company says the radar system can also tell one sleeper from another when two people share a bed. That matters because many optical wearables struggle when the wearer moves or when multiple bodies are close together. In theory, radar-based tracking could avoid some of those limitations, although Anker has not yet published the kind of independent accuracy data needed to compare the device properly with established sleep wearables.

SleepLab Pro is not just a tracker. Anker has built in sound playback, gradual lighting and a sunrise-style wake routine designed to support bedtime and waking. The company says the speaker can learn which combinations of audio and light work best for each user and reuse those settings later. It can also stream music over Bluetooth, which makes it closer to a multi-purpose bedside speaker than a dedicated sleep monitor.

The launch details, however, are not fully aligned across Anker’s own messaging and early coverage. Canaltech reported that the company expects a 2026 release, while Anker’s product page now says the SleepLab Pro will arrive in selected European markets in January 2027, priced at €349.99 excluding Spain. The company also says there will be no subscription fee, and it has not yet clarified whether the device will include a built-in battery or need to remain plugged in.
