Kashimura announces a new range of sturdy, safety-focused charging cables featuring over 70,000 bend tests and flame-retardant materials, launching in October with eight variants aimed at frustrated users seeking reliability.
Kashimura will launch a new charging cable range on 13 October, positioning it as a sturdier option for users frustrated by fraying leads and unreliable everyday accessories. The line, called “USB Charging & Sync Cable Soft STRONG”, will comprise eight variants split across USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C models, with black and white finishes and lengths of 1.2 metres and 2 metres.
According to the company’s announcement, the cables have passed a 70,000-bend durability test, which underpins an 18-month breakage warranty. Kashimura says the design combines a high-durability mesh exterior with a multi-layer silicone structure to improve resistance to dirt while keeping the cable smooth to the touch. The company also says the cable is intended to be less prone to tangling when carried in a bag or pocket.
Safety is another selling point. Kashimura says the cables use flame-retardant materials that meet UL standards, a specification that will matter to buyers looking for a basic charging accessory with clearer durability and safety claims than many generic alternatives.
The USB-A to USB-C versions support up to 5V3A, while the USB-C to USB-C models are rated at 20V3A, or a maximum of 60W. Suggested retail prices are open, but Kashimura has indicated prices of ¥1,280 to ¥1,880 including tax, depending on connector type, length and colour. Availability will be announced through the company’s website and retail channels.
