Ugreen’s new NAS systems elevate small business storage with high-speed and application support

Ugreen unveils two high-performance NAS devices at IFA 2026, tailored for studios and small offices, combining expansive storage, fast networking, and application capabilities to disrupt the market.

Ugreen has used IFA 2026 to push its NAS line further up the market, unveiling two desktop systems aimed at studios, small offices and home users who need more than simple file storage. The NASync DXP6800 Ultra and DXP8800 Ultra combine multi-bay storage, high-speed networking and support for running applications directly on the device, reducing dependence on separate servers or cloud services.

The larger DXP8800 Ultra is the flagship model. According to Ugreen’s specifications, it offers eight drive bays and two M.2 slots, with a maximum raw capacity of 272 TB when fitted with 32 TB hard drives and 8 TB SSDs. It is built around an Intel Core 7 150U processor. The DXP6800 Ultra uses an Intel Core 5 120U and six SATA bays plus two M.2 slots, with a maximum raw capacity of 208 TB. Both models ship with 8 GB of DDR5 memory and can be expanded to 96 GB.

Connectivity is one of the main selling points. Each NAS includes dual 10 GbE ports and dual Thunderbolt 4 connections, giving users several ways to move large files quickly across a local network or directly from a workstation. The rear panel also includes HDMI output for 8K video, an SD 4.0 card reader and USB-A ports for external storage. Independent coverage from NASCompares and review sites such as PC Central and Smart Home Compared confirms the same core hardware and positions the devices as suitable for video editing, virtualisation and other bandwidth-heavy workflows.

UGOS Pro, the operating system, manages file sharing, user permissions, backups and encrypted remote access. It also supports Docker containers and virtual machines, which broadens the NAS beyond basic storage. That makes the systems more relevant for teams that want to host internal services on the same box, although memory needs will rise quickly once several applications run at the same time. Ugreen’s Spanish store lists the DXP6800 Ultra at €1,449.99 and the DXP8800 Ultra at €1,779.99, both sold without drives and with shipping currently shown from 30 September 2026.
