Vivo re-enters India’s earbuds market with feature-rich Vivo Buds at competitive price

Vivo has launched the Vivo Buds in India, highlighting long battery life, advanced call and gaming features, and new spatial audio options, marking a significant comeback in the connected-devices segment.

Vivo has returned to India’s connected-devices market with the launch of the Vivo Buds, a pair of true wireless earbuds priced at Rs. 1,999. The company is positioning the model around battery life, call quality and gaming responsiveness, with sales through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and selected retail stores. The buds are offered in Basalt Black and Nilgiri Green.

Each earbud weighs about 3.8g and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, though that protection applies to the earbuds rather than the charging case. According to Vivo’s India launch details, the Buds are designed to work with both Vivo and iQOO phones for a fuller feature set, including low-latency gaming and smart device functions.

On audio, Vivo says the Buds use 10mm dynamic drivers and DeepX 4.0 tuning, with modes for bass, voice clarity, high frequencies and audiobooks. The earbuds also support Spatial Audio with four listening presets: Theatre, Concert Hall, Studio and Live Concert. Vivo’s wider product pages, however, still describe the Buds with DeepX 3.0 and Bluetooth 5.4, which suggests there may be differences between regional listings or software variants. The India launch material instead cites Bluetooth 6.1 and multipoint support for two devices.

For voice calls, the earbuds use four microphones in total, with dual-mic AI noise cancellation and a wind-noise reduction chamber. Vivo also claims up to 50 hours of total battery life with the charging case, up to 12 hours of music playback from the earbuds alone, and roughly four hours of listening from a 10-minute charge. Call time is rated at up to seven hours on a single charge. The Buds support Google Fast Pair, Find My Vivo Buds, voice assistant access and remote camera control on compatible devices, while touch controls can be customised for playback and calls.
