Zendure has launched its innovative agentic home energy management system at IFA Berlin, leveraging AI to optimise household power use by coordinating solar, batteries, electric vehicles, and heat pumps in real time. The platform aims to reduce bills and simplify energy control, marking a shift from traditional dashboards to intelligent decision systems.
Zendure used IFA in Berlin to unveil what it calls an agentic home energy management system, a software layer that goes beyond routine scheduling and instead makes decisions automatically across a household’s power setup. According to the company, the system is designed to coordinate solar generation, battery storage, electric-vehicle charging, heat pumps and variable electricity tariffs in real time, using AI to decide when to store, use or shift power.
The platform is built around three elements. Zendure says ZenPulse is its forecasting model, intended to predict solar output, weather conditions, household demand and electricity prices. ZENKI AI Agents then turn those forecasts into actions, while Zen+OS acts as the open control layer that connects the system with external devices and services. The company says the software supports MQTT, Home Assistant and Homey, and claims compatibility with more than 5,000 heat pump models and 870 European energy providers.
That puts Zendure’s pitch firmly in the emerging market for automated home energy control, where products are increasingly being sold not just as dashboards but as decision-making systems. On the stand, the company also displayed its SolarFlow range, including modular storage and the PowerHub gateway, and extended the concept to charging a cargo e-bike from household solar power. Zendure chief executive Bryan Liu framed the message in broad terms, saying: “The HEMS of today optimises electricity, the HEMS of tomorrow will optimise life.”
For consumers, the promise is clear: lower bills, less manual management and better use of self-generated power. The open question is how well such systems perform outside a trade fair setting, where real-world gains depend on hardware compatibility, tariff structures, local energy markets and the accuracy of the underlying forecasts. Zendure is presenting Agentic HEMS as a new category, but the practical test will be whether it can deliver measurable savings without creating a new layer of complexity for homeowners.
