YUNZII launches the AL98 Pro with significant battery and connectivity enhancements in compact aluminium design

YUNZII introduces the AL98 Pro, a compact 96% layout keyboard featuring a large 8,000mAh battery, dual 8K polling, and versatile connectivity options, aimed at enthusiasts seeking high-performance gaming and typing experience.

YUNZII has added the AL98 Pro to its keyboard range, pitching it at users who want a compact board without losing the navigation block or numpad. The design follows the 96% or 1800-style layout, which keeps more than 100 keys in a smaller footprint than a standard full-size keyboard. According to YUNZII’s announcement and product listings, the board also includes a rotary knob for quick control of volume and other functions.

The AL98 Pro uses a full aluminium chassis and a gasket-mounted structure, both of which are aimed at improving typing feel as well as durability. YUNZII says the keyboard supports hot-swappable 3-pin and 5-pin switches, allowing users to replace switches without soldering. It ships with factory-lubricated linear switches, south-facing RGB lighting, PBT and PC keycaps, and a silicone wrist rest.

Performance features are clearly part of the pitch. YUNZII says the AL98 Pro supports dual 8K polling, with rates of up to 8,000Hz in supported modes, alongside full N-key rollover and anti-ghosting. For connectivity, the keyboard offers 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C wired operation, with support for switching between multiple connected devices.

Power is another major selling point. The AL98 Pro carries an 8,000mAh battery, which YUNZII says is intended to provide extended wireless use. The keyboard is priced at about $139, placing it in the crowded enthusiast segment where aluminium builds, wireless flexibility and gaming-focused features increasingly overlap. The product sits alongside other compact aluminium models in YUNZII’s line-up, such as the KZZI Z98 Pro, but with a larger battery and a more stripped-back feature set.
