Anker unveils the Nano 45W Smart Display Charger, blending rapid charging with live status updates and over-the-air software upgrades, potentially redefining portable power solutions for iPhone users.
Anker has added a new twist to the crowded USB-C charger market with a 45W model that combines fast charging with a small integrated display. The Nano 45W Smart Display Charger is aimed at recent iPhone models and is designed to update over the air through Anker’s app as new handsets arrive, reducing the risk that the charger becomes obsolete as Apple’s lineup changes.
The charger’s most obvious differentiator is its screen. Anker says it shows charging speed, battery level and temperature in real time, giving users a clearer picture of what the charger is doing than a standard wall adapter would. The company also says a double-tap activates Care Mode for overnight charging, which is intended to keep temperatures down and reduce battery ageing by up to 20%. Separate product pages and Anker’s release describe the charger as recognising the iPhone 15, 16 and 17 series automatically, with TÜV-certified Care Mode supporting cooler charging during longer sessions.
Beyond the display and software, the hardware is built for portability. Anker says the charger is 47% smaller and 36% lighter than conventional 30W units, with prongs that fold flat and rotate 180 degrees for tighter spaces and awkward outlets. It can deliver up to 45W through a single USB-C port, and Anker says that behaviour changes dynamically as the battery fills, pushing harder when the charge is low and easing off later. In Anker’s Nordic materials, the company also claims an iPhone 17 Pro can reach 50% in around 20 minutes under the right conditions, a figure echoed by a third-party review that praised the charger’s compact form and the utility of the live charging read-out.
