Corel has enhanced its 2026 suite with a new AI-driven text-to-vector feature that accelerates early-stage design while maintaining manual control, alongside improvements across web and technical applications.
Corel has expanded CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 with a September update that pushes further into AI-assisted vector creation, adding a text-to-vector tool aimed at speeding up early-stage design work while preserving manual control. According to Corel’s announcement, the feature can generate editable vector artwork from written prompts or reference material, giving designers a way to move from concept to production with less setup time.
The company says the new Text-to-vector AI system produces scalable graphics made from genuine paths, shapes and fills rather than flattened output, which means the result can be edited, resized and recoloured like conventional vector artwork. Corel’s help documentation says users can also guide composition with reference content such as logos or illustrations, and can choose between Vector Spark, Vector Craft and Vector Master styles for different design needs.
The update is not limited to the desktop application. Corel says CorelDRAW Web now supports custom, brand and system fonts for subscribers and maintenance customers, along with direct export to DWG and DXF formats from the browser. That matters for teams that move between graphics, technical drawing and production workflows, where file compatibility can be as important as image quality.
Corel also claims that PowerTRACE has been improved to convert bitmaps into vectors more intelligently and up to four times faster, with better object structure, colour handling and AI-based background removal. The same broader update reaches CorelDRAW Go and CorelDRAW Technical Suite 2026, while the Technical Suite 3D CAD edition adds updated import support for newer 3D CAD file formats, according to the company.
The timing reflects a wider pattern in design software, where vendors are using generative AI to accelerate ideation without fully replacing the editor. Corel’s own product materials stress that the tools are meant to keep the user in control, rather than handing over final creative decisions to automation. In practical terms, that positions the update as a workflow upgrade first, and a content-generation feature second.
In Brazil, MacMagazine reported that CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 is available for macOS and Windows, priced at R$1,600 a year or R$3,200 for a one-time purchase. The publication also noted a limited free period for certain generated models until 22 September.
