Huawei launches the Watch GT 7 series, highlighting over 100 sport modes and enhanced accuracy, as it targets a broad range of athletes and casual users with a promotional offer until October 18.
Huawei’s Watch GT 7 series is being pitched as a broad sports companion rather than a niche running watch. The headline claim is simple: more than 100 activity modes, covering everything from road running and cycling to badminton, tennis and strength training. The idea is to reduce the need to switch between specialist apps or carry different devices for different workouts. According to Huawei’s promotional material, the range also includes guided mini-workouts for less active days, designed for short sessions between meetings.
The timing matters as much as the feature list. Huawei is running a launch promotion until 18 October, with a €50 instant discount plus a further €20 reduction using the code A20GT7PA. That brings the Watch GT 7 down to €229.99 in 41 mm form, the white 41 mm version to €249.99, the GT 7 Pro 46 mm to €359.99 and the titanium edition to €449.99. The company presents this as a temporary offer across the series.
The hardware is aimed at endurance. Huawei says the 46 mm Watch GT 7 can last up to 21 days in light use and 12 days in typical use, with up to 7 days when always-on display is enabled. In trail-running mode, the quoted figure is up to 51 hours. The watch also carries a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, while the smaller 41 mm model uses a 1.32-inch display. Reviewers have generally praised the build quality and legibility of the screen, while noting that the 46 mm version naturally has the stronger battery life.
Huawei is also leaning heavily on sport-specific tracking. The company says the AI-XDR system improves accuracy by 50% over earlier generations, and that cycling users can see segment-by-segment elevation and turn alerts through Smart Turn. Skiers and snowboarders are catered for too, with a mode that the company says works indoors as well as on slopes, alongside maps for more than 3,000 resorts. For racket sports, Huawei says third-party apps in Huawei Health can detect forehand and backhand strokes, with live data on session length, shot counts and peak speed. On the health side, the watch adds heart-rate and variability tracking, sleep summaries, arrhythmia detection via pulse wave, NFC payments and compatibility with both iOS and Android.
