Huawei introduces its new FreeBuds Neo in Italy, featuring adaptive noise cancellation, high-resolution audio support, and a stylish compact design, with ongoing promotional discounts amid conflicting codes reported by retailers.
Huawei has brought the FreeBuds Neo to Italy at a recommended price of €129, positioning the true wireless earbuds as a more compact model with adaptive noise cancellation, hi-res audio support and spatial sound. Italian retail listings say the earphones are on sale now through Huawei Store and major electronics chains. There is, however, a discrepancy over the launch offer: one Italian report says Huawei is using the code ACSSNEO30 for a €30 discount until 25 October, while another says the promotion code is ANDROIDNEO and the reduction is €35, taking the price down to €94 for qualifying buyers.
According to Huawei’s own product information, the FreeBuds Neo use a dual-channel noise-cancellation system tuned mainly for mid- and high-frequency noise, with a claimed reduction of up to 30 dB under specific conditions. The company says a third-generation audio chip and adaptive algorithms monitor changes in the listening environment and adjust the ANC level in real time, reducing abrupt shifts that can make some noise-cancelling earbuds feel uncomfortable.
On the audio side, Huawei says the earbuds use a Turbo driver and are designed to extend response from 10 Hz to 48 kHz, with support for LDAC and L2HC on compatible devices. Huawei’s technical documentation indicates lossless transmission can reach up to 2.3 Mbps with its own compatible devices, while other compatible hardware can reach up to 990 kbps. The company also says the model supports spatial audio, with a 360-degree presentation intended to work beyond Huawei phones through the HUAWEI Audio Connect app on compatible Android and iOS devices.
The design follows the same compact direction. Huawei and retail listings describe a smaller Mini Shuttle charging case, a shortened stem and a lightweight build of about 4.8 grams per earbud. The FreeBuds Neo are offered in four colours and are intended to work across Android, iOS and Windows, with dual-device pairing across different operating systems. Huawei also says some compatible watches can be used to change noise-control settings, check battery status and locate the earbuds.
