Sony has launched three new wireless headphone models tailored for various listening preferences, featuring upgraded noise cancellation, extended battery life, and improved device compatibility, signalling a significant refresh of its audio lineup.
Sony has refreshed its wireless headphone line-up with three new models aimed at distinct price points and listening habits. The WH-1000XM4C leads the range with premium noise cancellation and a revised finish, while the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 extend the company’s mid-tier and entry-level offers with longer battery life, clearer calls and broader device compatibility.
The WH-1000XM4C is an update to Sony’s established WH-1000XM4 platform rather than a clean-sheet redesign. According to Sony’s specifications, the over-ear model keeps the 1000X Series noise cancellation system and adds updated sound tuning intended to suit current listening preferences, together with a 10-band equaliser for more precise personal adjustment. It also arrives in Lavender, Black and Platinum Silver, and retains a foldable form for easier transport. Sony is positioning it for commuters, frequent flyers, remote workers and students who want stronger isolation without moving to a completely new product class.
The WH-CH730N sits below it as a lightweight noise-cancelling option for everyday use. Sony says the model uses Dual Noise Sensor technology, supports up to 50 hours of playback with noise cancellation switched on, and can deliver about an hour of listening from a three-minute charge. It also adds Precise Voice Pickup Technology for calls, plus LE Audio support, Multipoint connectivity and Fast Pair or Swift Pair for quicker pairing across devices.
At the entry level, the WH-CH530 is designed for buyers who want simple wireless headphones at lower cost. Sony says the on-ear model offers up to 55 hours of battery life, quick charging that provides 1.5 hours of playback from a three-minute top-up, AI noise reduction for calls and customisable EQ settings. It also includes a five-step maximum volume limit, built-in voice assistant support and the same modern connection features found on the CH730N.
In Singapore, Sony says the WH-CH530 goes on sale in mid-September 2026 at S$79, the WH-CH730N follows from the end of September at S$169, and the WH-1000XM4C arrives during September at S$419. All three will be sold through Sony Stores, authorised retailers and the company’s online shop.
