Honeywell Home’s evohome smart thermostat has been recognised as the Heating Product of the Year at the 2026 ASCP Awards, highlighting its role in advancing housing decarbonisation through personalised, energy-efficient heating management.
Honeywell Home’s evohome smart zoning thermostat has been named Heating Product of the Year at the 2026 Association of Safety and Compliance Professionals Awards, in a result that underlines the growing focus on heating controls in housing decarbonisation. The ceremony took place on 8 September at ICC Wales in Newport.
According to the company, the product was recognised for its room-by-room control, which can reduce wasted energy while preserving comfort. Resideo said evohome is designed to work with both conventional gas boilers and heat pump systems, making it suitable for a wide range of homes and heating approaches.
Evidence from a 10-property pilot programme was included in the award submission. The housing provider involved reported SAP improvements of one to three points per property, alongside annual fuel savings linked to tighter heating control. SAP, or the Standard Assessment Procedure, is the UK method used to rate the energy performance of homes.
Mike Welsh, national sales leader for specification at Resideo, said the award reflected the role heating controls can play in managing energy use. He added that the system can support retrofit work for social housing providers, while allowing tenants to shape heating schedules around the rooms they actually use.
