Google begins rolling out a significant update for Gemini, adding a wide range of third-party app connections that enable users to perform productivity, creative, and lifestyle tasks seamlessly within the chatbot, signalling a move towards a comprehensive all-in-one AI assistant.
Google has begun rolling out a new batch of Connected Apps for Gemini, widening the chatbot’s reach into third-party services and reducing the need to switch between separate tabs or platforms. According to Google’s own announcement, the update is designed to let users carry out more work from a single conversation, with uses spanning productivity, creative work and everyday organisation.
The expansion adds a sizeable group of services to Gemini’s ecosystem. On the productivity side, the new connections include Airtable, Linear, monday.com, PandaDoc, Wispr AI and Zoho. Creative tools now extend to Adobe, Picsart, Squarespace and Webflow, while lifestyle integrations cover Apartments.com, Experian, Peloton and SeatGeek. Google said the aim is to let Gemini handle tasks such as project management, visual production and workout planning without forcing users out of the app.
The rollout began on 23 September 2026, according to Google’s blog post and several technology outlets that tracked the launch. Android Authority reported that the new connections can be used directly inside Gemini, while Softonic and Gadgets 360 said the additions make the assistant more useful for tasks that would normally require several different applications.
There are several ways to activate the new integrations. Users can open Gemini’s settings, go to the connected apps section and link the services they want to use. They can also summon a specific app during a conversation by typing “@” followed by its name, such as “@Airtable”. Another option is simply to ask Gemini to carry out a task that involves one of the connected services.
Google says availability may vary depending on the service, account and region. That matters because connected-app support is not uniform across all users, and some integrations may appear later than others. Even so, the update is a clear sign that Google is pushing Gemini further towards an all-in-one assistant for work, creative projects and routine personal tasks.
