UGREEN’s Nexode Air 65W and Rolling Square’s Supertiny show how far compact GaN chargers have come, with both offering laptop-class power in a form factor small enough to carry every day. Android Central said the UGREEN model is the cheaper of the pair at $24, down from a $39 list price, and it also ships with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The Rolling Square charger, by contrast, costs $49 and leans more heavily on design, with textured side panels intended to make it easier to grip and to distinguish in a bag.
Both chargers are built around a single USB-C port and both stay within the same general size class, but their physical details differ in ways that matter in practice. Android Central said the Rolling Square unit measures 60.5mm long and 35mm high and wide, and weighs 70g with US folding blades, or 73g with the EU-style version. The UGREEN model is slightly heavier at 77g, though it remains notably smaller and lighter than a conventional non-GaN charger of similar output.
The charging behaviour is broadly similar. According to Android Central, both chargers deliver 65W over USB Power Delivery 3.0, while the Rolling Square also supports PPS, which makes it a better match for some Samsung phones. The UGREEN charger adds USB PD 3.2 AVS, a newer fast-charging protocol that should matter more for Apple devices that support it. MacRumors has also noted that the Nexode Air’s compact design and multiple colour options make it easy to pair with a phone, tablet or laptop, although like many third-party chargers it may not trigger proprietary fast-charge modes on every device.
In testing, Android Central said both chargers handled a wide spread of hardware reliably, including iPhones, Pixel phones, a Find X9 Ultra, an iPad Pro and multiple power banks. The reviewer preferred the Rolling Square’s textured finish for handling, but concluded that value tipped the balance decisively towards UGREEN. The Nexode Air’s lower price, bundled cable and trickle-charging behaviour for overnight use gave it the edge, even if the Rolling Square remains a well-executed alternative for buyers who are willing to pay more for the design.
