Motteru unveils its latest strap-style USB-C cable, featuring new Pale Iris and Latte Greige finishes, designed for easy carrying and efficient charging while on the go, supporting up to 60W power and compatible with a wide range of devices.
MOTTERU has added two new finishes, Pale Iris and Latte Greige, to its strap-style USB-C cable, the MOT-STRCC20, with sales beginning on 25 September through stores and online channels, according to the company’s announcement. The product is designed to be carried as a bag charm or strap and then converted into a charging cable when needed, reducing the likelihood of leaving a cable behind.
The appeal of the accessory is in its dual use. In normal use, it sits attached to a bag, pouch or mobile accessory like a decorative strap. When charging is required, it becomes a 20cm USB-C cable, a length chosen for situations where a smartphone is paired with a portable battery and used at the same time. MOTTERU says the design is intended to make off-site charging simpler without adding bulk.
The cable also keeps its connectors covered while it is being worn as a strap. That matters because exposed plugs are more likely to collect dust, pick up marks or suffer wear in a bag. By shielding the USB-C ends during transport, the product is aimed at users who want a cable that is both practical and tidy enough to carry every day.
Despite its compact size, the MOT-STRCC20 supports USB Power Delivery charging at up to 60W, or 20V/3A, which makes it suitable not only for phones but also for tablets and some laptops. It also supports USB 2.0 data transfer at up to 480Mbps. According to MOTTERU, the cable works with a broad range of USB-C devices, including iPhone, iPad, MacBook and AirPods models, as well as Android devices such as Google Pixel, Galaxy, Xperia and AQUOS. The company lists a direct price of ¥2,200, with monitor sales running on some marketplaces, including Rakuten and Yahoo! Shopping.
