Electrocom is launching a slim 10,000mAh battery with integrated strap-style USB Type-C cable, multi-device charging, and enhanced safety, aiming to redefine portability in mobile power solutions.
Elecom is set to launch a new 10,000mAh mobile battery series in late September, built around a strap-style USB Type-C cable that doubles as a carrying loop. The DE-C88-10000 range will come in white and black, and the company says the design is intended to make the charger easier to carry in a pocket, pouch or small bag. According to Elecom’s product information, the body is roughly 16mm thick and the battery supports up to 30W output, with USB Power Delivery and PPS for faster, more efficient charging of phones and tablets.
The pack also includes two USB Type-C ports and one USB-A port, allowing several devices to be charged at once. Elecom says it supports “collective charging”, meaning the battery and a smartphone can be charged together, while pass-through charging is designed to reduce battery wear during regular use. An LED panel shows remaining charge in 1% increments, which should make it easier to judge how much power is left before leaving home. The USB-A port also supports low-current mode and an automatic charging function for smaller accessories such as Bluetooth headsets and earphones.
Safety and compliance are a central part of the specification. Elecom says the battery includes Thermal Protection, along with multiple protective circuits, and uses a rechargeable lithium-ion cell rated for about 500 charge cycles. The product is also described as compliant with Japanese electrical safety requirements and suitable for air travel, with a rated watt-hour capacity of 160Wh or less. In addition, it carries Elecom’s THINK ECOLOGY certification and supports charging for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and the newer Nintendo Switch 2.
The launch follows Elecom’s recent push into more advanced battery technology. In February, the company announced its first mobile battery using a semi-solid-state cell, a move it presented as part of a broader effort to improve safety and durability in portable charging products. Against that backdrop, the DE-C88-10000 series is a more conventional lithium-ion design, but one that combines a slim form factor, higher output and integrated cable storage in a package aimed at everyday portability.
