The Huawei Watch 6 Pro combines luxury materials and precise navigation with comprehensive health tracking and versatile connectivity, setting a new standard for premium wearables amid rising competition.
Huawei’s Watch 6 Pro is one of the strongest arguments yet for the company’s premium wearables. It combines a polished titanium-and-ceramic build with sapphire glass, a bright circular display and a rotating crown that makes navigation feel fluid and precise. The result is a watch that looks refined enough for everyday wear, but remains clearly rooted in sports tracking rather than pure fashion.
In use, the display is a major advantage. Xataka says the panel remains readable even in direct sunlight, and that the interface responds smoothly to touch and to the crown. Computer Bild and ComputerBase reach similar conclusions, describing the screen as bright, sharp and well suited to outdoor use. That matters because the Watch 6 Pro is intended to be worn as much on a run or bike ride as in the office.
Huawei has also packed the watch with health and activity functions that go well beyond the basics. The device offers heart-rate monitoring, ECG readings, blood oxygen measurement, sleep tracking, respiratory monitoring, skin temperature sensing and Huawei’s X-Tap health check, which uses the side sensor to provide a wider snapshot of well-being. Xataka says those measurements are consistently accurate in day-to-day use, while Computer Bild and ComputerBase also praise the precision of the health data. For athletes, the watch adds multi-sport tracking, fast GPS locking and support for demanding sessions such as running, cycling and strength work.
Connectivity is another of its strengths. The Watch 6 Pro includes eSIM support, NFC, dual-band GNSS and broad compatibility with both Android and iOS, which makes it more flexible than many rival smartwatches tied to a single ecosystem. Huawei also rates it for 40-metre water resistance, alongside IP68 and IP69 protection, making it suitable for swimming and even recreational diving. Xataka found it robust in practice, with no obvious signs of wear after extended use.
Battery life is respectable, but not class-leading. Huawei quotes up to 4.5 days of typical use, or as much as 11 days in a lighter-use mode, depending on settings such as always-on display and cellular connectivity. Xataka’s testing found close to a week of moderate use, falling to around five days with more outdoor sport and active GPS tracking. That is solid for a premium smartwatch, although it remains a point on which some competitors still do better.
The main limitation is software, not hardware. Huawei’s app selection remains relatively narrow compared with Wear OS or watchOS, and several reviewers note that the ecosystem will feel restrictive to users who want a rich library of third-party apps. Even so, the Watch 6 Pro is widely seen as a highly capable all-rounder: a premium watch with strong health tools, dependable sports tracking and a design that feels more luxurious than many of its rivals. For buyers who value those qualities over app breadth, it is an easy watch to recommend.
