MSI unveils a special white-themed Crosshair A16 HX gaming laptop in Malaysia, featuring high-end hardware and a collector’s bundle inclusive of exclusive accessories and figurine, targeting enthusiasts seeking performance and distinctive design.
MSI has launched a special-edition version of its Crosshair A16 HX gaming laptop in Malaysia, pitching the machine as both a performance-focused notebook and a themed collector’s bundle. According to MSI’s announcement, the Crosshair A16 HX MLG Edition arrives in an all-white chassis with custom MLG branding, and it is sold with a matching mouse, headset, extended mouse pad and an exclusive figurine. The company says the figurine can also be claimed through the MSI Member Center with proof of purchase, although supplies are limited.
The laptop is built around a 16-inch QHD+ panel with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 coverage, placing it firmly in the high-refresh gaming category. MSI lists configurations with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU carrying 12GB of GDDR7 memory. The firm says its OverBoost mode can push combined CPU and GPU power to 190W, while the Cooler Boost thermal system uses dual fans, five heat pipes and a quad-exhaust heatsink to manage heat output. MSI’s own product pages also confirm support for up to 96GB of DDR5 memory, alongside Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and SuperRAID 5 storage support.
For connectivity, MSI includes three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet and a 3.5mm audio jack. The company also lists a 720p webcam, array microphone and two 2W speakers. In Malaysia, the top configuration with the Ryzen 9 8940HX and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU is priced at RM10,499, with availability already underway. Hands-on coverage of the standard Crosshair A16 HX has previously pointed to its suitability for demanding games and high-refresh play, although MSI is clearly positioning this MLG Edition as a more distinctive package aimed at buyers who want a themed design as well as current-generation hardware.
