Garmin has introduced its first screen-free fitness tracker, the CIRQA Smart Band, in India, offering continuous health monitoring and a battery life of up to ten days, aiming to disrupt a crowded market dominated by traditional smartwatches.
Garmin has launched the CIRQA Smart Band in India, bringing a screen-free health and fitness tracker to a market increasingly crowded with watches and subscriptions. Priced at Rs. 25,990, the device is aimed at users who want continuous monitoring without the visual interruption of a display, with all health and training information routed through the Garmin Connect smartphone app. Garmin had already introduced the product globally earlier this year, and its Indian launch follows that wider rollout.
The CIRQA is built around a fabric ComfortFit band and a fibre-reinforced polymer case, with a compact 27 x 47 x 9mm form factor. It supports Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity, carries a 5 ATM water-resistance rating and works with both Android phones and iPhones. Garmin says the band can last for up to 10 days on a charge, a figure that places it among longer-lasting premium fitness wearables.
The tracker relies on a single on-device button for activity recording rather than a screen-based interface. Garmin Connect then displays the user’s health, sleep and exercise information. The band monitors heart rate continuously and can alert users if readings rise above or fall below set thresholds. It also tracks stress, blood oxygen via Pulse Ox, respiration, heart rate variability and skin temperature. Garmin’s Body Battery tool combines those inputs with activity data to estimate energy levels and indicate when the body may be more ready for exertion or rest.
Sleep is a major part of the CIRQA’s feature set. Garmin says the device provides a Sleep Score, sleep-stage analysis, sleep coaching, circadian rhythm tracking and nap detection. It also monitors breathing variation during sleep, reports HRV Status for recovery and training context, and includes a Health Status feature that looks for deviations from a user’s normal pattern. A Smart Wake Alarm uses vibration to wake the wearer at an apparently better point in the sleep cycle.
The band also expands beyond basic wellness tracking. It supports women’s health features such as menstrual-cycle and pregnancy tracking, while skin-temperature data recorded during sleep can be used for period predictions and ovulation estimates. Garmin says users can also log caffeine and alcohol intake in Garmin Connect and review how those habits may affect their health. Skin temperature readings can be synced to the Natural Cycles app, although that requires a separate subscription.
For training, the CIRQA automatically detects activities such as walking and running, while Garmin Connect supports manual logging for more than 80 activity types, including cycling, swimming, hiking, yoga, Pilates, strength training, HIIT, rowing, racket sports, winter sports, team sports and boxing. The tracker also offers Training Readiness, Training Status, VO2 Max, Fitness Age, steps, calories, Intensity Minutes, Workout Benefit and Recovery Time. Wheelchair Mode adds push counts, weight-shift alerts and support for compatible sports apps, while Garmin Connect+ includes extra workouts for wheelchair users.
The band uses Connected GPS from a paired smartphone to provide pace and distance data for outdoor walks, runs and rides. It also supports LiveTrack, which lets friends or family follow a user’s location, and Broadcast Heart Rate for sending readings to compatible Garmin devices, including Edge cycling computers. Garmin says the core health, sleep and fitness features do not require a subscription, although its optional Connect+ service adds features such as guided workouts, Garmin Coach plans, personalised AI-powered insights, meditation, mindful breathing and nutrition tracking. The CIRQA also includes Garmin’s Jet Lag Adviser, which offers guidance on light exposure, sleep timing and exercise for travellers crossing time zones.
Garmin is offering the CIRQA in Small/Medium and Large/Extra Large sizes, with the smaller model fitting wrists from 120mm to 200mm and the larger version covering 145mm to 240mm. Colour options vary by size, with Mauve, French Grey, Black and Captain Blue among the choices listed for India. The launch positions the CIRQA as a premium, screenless alternative in a segment where buyers are increasingly comparing health trackers on battery life, recovery metrics and subscription terms as much as on raw feature count.
