Apple has expanded Creator Studio with sharper editing tools, AI-powered writing features and new collaboration options across its creative and productivity apps.
Apple has expanded Apple Creator Studio with a broad set of updates that push its apps further into both creative production and office-style work. According to Apple’s newsroom announcement, the changes now span Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform, with the latest release focusing on faster editing, smarter document tools and tighter collaboration across devices.
On the creative side, Pixelmator Pro for iPad gains Select and Mask, a tool designed to make edge refinement more accurate when isolating subjects such as hair or fur. Apple also says Final Cut Pro and Motion now support Cinematic mode effects, allowing editors to work with depth and focus adjustments directly in video timelines captured on the iPhone 18 Pro. Compressor adds new export presets for social sharing, which should make it easier to prepare finished footage for different platforms. MacRumors reported earlier that Apple has been steadily adding AI-assisted and cross-app features to Creator Studio, including image generation and tighter integration between Pixelmator Pro and the rest of the suite.
The productivity apps are also getting more capable. Apple says Keynote now includes intelligent slide generation with tailored images, while Pages adds Screen View for more focused reading and writing. Numbers is being expanded with new trigonometry, statistics and logic functions, which gives it more practical use for analysis-heavy work. Freeform, meanwhile, is gaining Dark Mode boards, folders and improved collaboration tools, extending its role as a shared visual workspace for teams.
Apple Intelligence is now woven into the writing tools, where it can rewrite, proofread and summarise handwritten notes. Shortcuts can also automate content creation, which may reduce repetitive work for users moving material between apps. Looking ahead, Apple says visionOS 27 will let Freeform boards be brought into immersive spaces so groups can view 3D models together, a sign that the company is pushing Creator Studio further into mixed-reality collaboration as well as conventional desktop and tablet workflows. Apple’s September announcement framed the update as part of a wider effort to make the suite more seamless across the company’s devices, and the latest rollout suggests that direction is continuing.
